I installed SH3 and got a cd key from star force because, apparently, there was no key shipped with my game. Anyway, when I try to run SH3, it goes to the, "Checking disc" box, it completes the check, and then transitions to a black screen where it remains until I ctrl+alt+delete and manually shut down SH3.exe
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game but, interestingly enough, it did not ask me for my cd key during reinstall. I have a 2.4ghz P4 with 768 ram, Windows XP, Nvidia 6600GT 128mb. What's wrong? |

Make sure you've installed the latest version of Windows Media Player.

That sounds like the well-known intro movie problem. I have the same problem and no update of any kind helped on my system.
Delete both wmv files from sh3\data\movies\intro. |
