Default New Monitor w/crash when initiating SH3

I went out and purchased a new Sony SDM-HS95P and a RADEON 9550
video card to enhance the SH3 experience.

Installed the card, updated the drivers to Catalyst 5.7, changed the resolution to 1024x768 16 bit color and total crash when trying to start a single mision or career.

Any one have any ideas? I checked the wikki and tried the enhanced resolution without success.

The monitor/ATI card works fine on all other applications (I'm using it now). Seems SH3 doesn't care for it, and that is why I bought the thing!

The monitor is fantastic other wise.
Can anyone help, or is ti going back to Compusa?

Thank you in advance

I did a little change back to my old Radeon 9250 and a 15pin connection.

Now I get a message "cannot initiate 3D engine".

This card worked yesterday on my standard VGA monitor.

I rolled back to Catalyst 5.6 and all is well!

Moderators can remove this if they wish.

I had trouble with cat 5.7 on my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro card , so I reinstalled 5.6 as well!
