Default SH III with 128 MB RAM?

Is there any mod available or on the horizon for playing SH III on an older PC (e.g. Pentium 3, 128 MB RAM, Geforce 2, working with more simple textures etc.)? I can remember that something similar was done for CFS 3.

I think that would be nearly impossible to do. Sorry, but the only thing I would suggest is getting a new computer. Or if you can find it and don't mind running in 256 colors, you can get Command: Aces of the Deep.

My frame rate drops to 3-4 when the convoys are large and I'm close to them, I managed to hit 2-3 boats, there's fire, explosions, etc.

I've got an AMD XP 2600 (2GHz), 1024MB RAM, Nvidia FX 5200 Ultra - 128MB RAM.

If the game doesn't run smooth enough on my computer (I look forward to upgrade it soon), on an older computer it would wreak havoc. It is very memory-dependent.

Sorry, I think there's nothing you could do, unless you get it to work on a very low framerate & texture quality. Alternatively, buy more RAM, but my recomendation would be to upgrade everyting.

I have a similar system, which has some slowdowns near convoys, but it's the video card's fault:

Pentium 4, 3 GHz, 1024 mb PC3200 DDR RAM, Nvidia FX5200 128mb.
