Default Age of Empires 3

So are there any other people like me who are impatiecetly awaiting this game?

compared to it's previous parts this one look the far way most interesting, seems like the developers are doing a great job here.
I heard that in september a 1gig demo will come out.

Yes, I will take a very close look at this new game. Another I
want to see is the CIV4 by Sid M. My one big drawback against
the previous AOE's has been the lack of large maps with strategic
abilities. Winning on a few small tactical islands was never my
thing. I love seeing the BIG picture....

Yeah Civ4 seems to be promesing to me too.
i really hope that the ai will be better and more options to communicate with the other nations, something like Alpha Centauri would be fine.

I was never much of a fan of AoE. It was ok but as was mentioned too small scale.

the Civ series was alright other then some strangeness that would happen with the game when fighting (like a greek phalanx taking out modern tanks, or a trireem (sp?) sinking a battleship).

Im more into realistic strat games like the old steel panthers, or the total war series.

well, I'd rather play Rome:Total War, but AOM III demo is very nice, and I'm looking forward playing it

The demo was ok. The part that turned me off was the story based model. Is the whole game going to revolve around storylines or will it be open-ended like AOE2?

It seems that October will be a big game release month and
since I can't buy them all, I will have to choose carefully.
In the running are: AOE3,COD2,BIA-Expansion,BF2-Expansion
and I don't think that CIV4 will be out but it might....

JIM

PS. Forgot about ROME Total War-Barbarian Invasion expansion
