SH 5 TWOS Skins dont work?

Hi!

Can someone tell me why my u boat skins dont work after loading a save. I have tried different skins (from upgrade dude) and read instructions, but everytime i load save at sea, they look stupid (red devils are black like shadows) or the skin are missing totally. How to fix this? I did not manage to find any topic or google threats in this matter. Is it just... that... Dont use skins kinda thing?

P.S
I have restarted the game and reloaded save many times but the problem just varies. Never know what you get, only that you dont ever get the one that looks like it suppose to.

if the bad effect is transitory it may be an indication that available memory is lacking.

are you using a 4 GB memory tool, such as Large Address Aware (LAA)? if not, you should think about enabling SH5 with one. LAA is one tool and i can never remember the other name. both provide the same functionality.

Well it worked half. I always get the skin now BUT those "2 Red Devils" are constantly black.

Years ago (this is in some thread...), I read LAA or 4Gbpatch don´t made anything for improve SH5. I remember SH5.exe (with or without TWoS) doesn´t need the 4Gb patch for works well. In my installation of TWoS I never used the patch; all works fine, including skins. Only you need to change your desired skin and emblem in the bunker; it is not as SH3 or SH4 when you can change your skin on patrol...

I would like to know if really it is needed 4Gbpatch (or LAA) for TWoS; I think it is not needed.

Hmm... Very intresting indeed. I took this skin in base before patrol. I started the patrol right away and everything looked nice 'n fine. Then after few hundred miles save and VOLA! Red devils are black now. I think Erich Topp does not mind using them in game and thats not the reason they are black now. And yeah marco :P ubi sure did some funny things with this game. Thank god and Hail to the TWOS makers. This really is kinda little concern, but i am very curious to learn what the heck is behind this. SOMETHING does that and scratches the paint when i sleep...

I wonder, if... what was hes name again... (who made u-552 skin too) if i take hes skin instead of ubis skin, i tried it in the base but it was so much lower resolution (blurry deck) that i had to take ubis version.

Can anyone provide me the Danevang's Paint Shop 1.0, if it helps? Is it even TWOS Compatible. Well cant find it anymore anywhere... It's pretty old nowadays.

For me my tiger stripe camo dissappears sometimes but comes back. I think its just a stock game bug perhaps?

Aa okay. Did you get it back on same patrol, but different save, when it disappeared or between patrols? (in base)

I have not managed to get those devils red again, but i'm still at sea. Have to see what happens, when i get in base for the first time, after skin has applied.

...at age 73, bad transitorialness of available memory is the norm reguardless of the size of my GB tool!

now, then you drop something, you question whether you really need it or not.

Hmm I can't remember honestly, I think next patrol maybe. If it happens to me again I'll pay attention to see how it comes back.
