Silent Hunter 3 Asus Strix Soar Sound Problem

Dear Friends,
This is not a life or death question, but I shall appreciate your help. I have been playing SH3 since 2005. A month ago, I bought a new powerful desktop PC, and SH3 was one of the first games I installed. This week, I got a new, very cool sound card installed – Asus Strix Soar. Unfortunately, as soon as I start SH3, the whole system is stuck. I have to force shutdown. As soon as I launch the game via an installed sound card (whatever cheap model it is), everything is OK with the game.
Any ideas? Workarounds? Thank you very much in advance! 👍
