Hi all,
I've just got into she+gwx. Playing Sims, I like everything to be as realistic as possible so I play at about 80% realism. Left the external and event cams on coz I like to watch the ships blow up. I do all calculations manually using a python program I've written. I'm going through the convoy training now, and would like to ask about firing at multiple targets at one. If I get a firing solution for one ship and leave the tdc locked in, and assume the others are going roughly the same speed, is the tdc solution correct when I move the attack scope? Do I just need to set the distance of the new target, and the aob be correct (assuming the others don't change direction?) Hope this makes sense? 1 US Dollar to Indian Rupee Last edited by marvelsferb7; 08-26-20 at 02:46 AM. |

Assuming you do not change course, yes. Also, if your gyro angle is low (say within 20 deg of your bow), don’t worry too much about range. In engaging multiple though, likely one will fall outside this (unless shooting at overlapping targets), so be sure range is at least in the ballpark (moreso at close ranges).

Derstosstrupp is absolutely correct. If the solution is good, then your good. But if that angle is obtuse on the gyro... who knows what might happen! Circling torps, premature detonations, angry unicorns... you name it!
