Short version: is there a way to set the weather for a patrol area & timeframe?
Long version: Despite my expectations of another monotonous "secret mission" to deposit an intelligence agent on Kyushu, dodging air patrols every half hour for the last 1000 km, I surfaced early into magnificent weather, every submariner's dream: a massive storm system from the Volcano islands to the Inland Sea dense enough to shut down visibility below 1000m. I had so much fun wreaking absolute havoc that I forgot one very important thing... savegame. then came a CTD and I was back to square one: crossing the Pacific south of Japan under a blazing sun. I'm really NOT looking forward to this any more - it's a chore now - but the blushing young Yamato debutants will at last be presented to society at next month's Saipan Ball. Is there a way to get that awesome weather back for this patrol? |

Despite me performing a savegame, I have found that the weather, specifically a storm, is random and not part of the mission at all.
I have restarted missions from save games and had different weather each time. The only time you get the same exact weather in a particular spot is upon load of the save and its the spot you are sitting in. Unless you saved while you were in the storm you may/may not have the same weather pattern. Especially if you need to travel to the location from the save load location. I am basing this on my observations playing for about 2 months, so a more experienced skipper may have more info. |

I think it doesn’t change the weather, it just reset it...it can be good or all bad.
