688i points for up-grading

In 688i, getting points means updating the crew or equipment. I have notice that the first mission goes successful, and when I start the next mission I use the points to up-grade some items.

I do the same or another mission successfully, and RTB. When I go to prep for the third mission, my points are always in the negative for up-grading before putting to sea.

Is there a file that I can edit to have fairness? Where are my used subs stored. Do I need a special file to actually do the editing?

I have done additional missions hoping that a "burp" just a occurred, but when I come back with success, and start another mission, the points are still in the negative.

How to edit is the big question.
