Default (almost) 100% Realism help/ Videos

Hi guys,

Being a total noob at subsims, and a collosal idiot who has forgotten all his hi-school maths, naturally I am trying to play SH3 (LSH3) with manual plotting and targeting - God's eye just seemed a bit too revealing.

I think I have an idea how to work out the targets heading etc, and am reading through Wazoo's guide, but wanted to know if anyone had made a 100% realism let's play or video guide or something.

Any other tips would be great too.

Thanks,

A

Thanks for the help guys, they are very helpful videos! Now, when I screw up my next torpedo launch, at least a will have done so scientifically!

Another question (so as not to start a new thread), at nighttime I can't see anything at all because it's so dark. I know there ain't exactly a lot of light at nighttime, but is it supposed to be so pitch black?

Thanks,

A

Might be due to the state of the moon and/or inclimate weather.

It's incredibly hard to see clearly on a dark night with no moon, even in perfect conditions. Add that to the fact that combatant ships sail at night with no illumination, and you have an even harder time.

Just keep in mind...the enemy will have an even harder time detecting you due to your low profile (disregarding radar, of course). Try and use that to your advantage. Myself and many other experienced submariners here have no issue with early war surface attacks on convoys at night.
