Well it figures, I just got all the mods I liked installed and figured out and my computer died. I bought a new computer today and am trying to get SH3 installed but things are not going as smoothly as they did the first time. I download from Living Silent Hunter 15 just as before. I extract into a folder called SilentHunterIII that I created. When I click the Start.EXE it tells me "No valid SH3.EXE found". I searched and found someone with the same problem (here is the link to that thread..http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=225889). But whatever solution they found they did not post. My new computer has windows 10 on it, just like my last one. Can someone please help me with some step by step instructions as I am a computer dummy. I was just beginning to really get into this game and I'm going through some pretty serious withdrawal pains right now. If this is the wrong part of the forum to be posting this in I apologize and will move it if needed.

Something else you might want to consider if you haven't already, Don't Install SH3 into the default path. Create a folder or use an existing one and put game files there. Theberbster and Blitzkrieg are giving good advice as well and Theberbster touched on that in thread
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=225889 these gentlemen are pretty sharp and knowledgeable. |
