radar Battle Report - Knight of Fear - November 19th, 2016

This time, four of us took part in the battle. Some of screenshots come from replay .

Having in my mind the previous battle, I knew possible direction of enemy attack. I set a danger zone and speed up to screen our cargo ship.

Waiting for my helos, I was looking for enemy contacts with my towed array, but without any success. No track of enemy subs. Additionally there was a problem with layer. In the area it was at 300 meters, but my towed array could dive only to 210 meters.

Finally my first helo was ready. I launched him immediately and headed to the west part of the danger zone. Sonobuoys were dropped and I found one or even two potential cub contacts. Unfortunately, just after that Bleach and Janna fired they rockets at us .

I was able to shot down missiles directed at me, but TASM aimed at cargo ship hit and sink her. In the battle, I lost control over my rockets and did not utilize fully Gaunlets to protect us.

Fortunately, my ship was safe. CIWS and chaffs did work correctly and we could perform a counter attack. First Bleach was attacked by Pepe's helo.

Two fishes did their job. It is worth to mention, that Bleach for a long time was hidden near the Oiler - good job .

On the west side, I focused on Janna's LA. My second helo joined the counter attack. I started a hunting. I spent many torpedoes and Silexes, but finally I damaged the sub so serious, that the hull did not resist a water pressure and imploded .

The result of the battle ? DRAW. We did not prevent a cargo ship, on the other side all LAs were sunk and they did not perform a planned land strike.

Thank you all for the game and see you next time.

Icon14 Good game!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd play through of this mission gentlemen! Much fun was had! The Oil Tanker being on top of me was good practice for tracking targets on sonar behind loud contacts, which up until this match, I had been relying on the Auto-crew to identify. I learn more every time we play, moving further and further away from using Auto-crewmen! Thank you all again for the opportunity to play!
