Default Can't open many tubes in XXI

Hi,
I'm currently playing with a type XXI on stock SH3. I know that recently I was able to just click through all the tubes, open them all and then fire upon demand.
However this is no longer working for me over several missions... If I open lots of tubes the first one goes okay but then there is a delay before firing each further torpedo.
This is even a problem if I try to launch a salvo - it says "Opening tube 2" and "Opening tube 3" for example but when I fire only one leaves immediately and the next one several seconds later.
This is very annoying in many situations and I'm at a bit of a loss! Does anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks
Captain Ted

With SH3 you have to use the Q key to open the tube door.
When you move to another tube the previous tube door closes and you need to use the Q key again to open the next tube and again when returning to the previous tube.
Not using the Q key results in a delay when the fire button is pressed before the torpedo is fired.
It is always worth bearing in mind that stock SH3 is bugged so there will always be something unpredictable likely to happen.
