Hello all,
Im trying to take some screenshots of my visit to new york. But when i press CTRL+F11 as usual, nothing happens. No notice appears, no file is saved, nothing. Ibe tested it with my other career, same thing. I removed mods, same thing. Replaced the commands.cfg file for a new/clean one, nothing. I even replaced the sh3.exe (wich is completely un-modded btw), and nothing. Anyone have an idea of what might be wrong? thanks in advance |

No widescreen, but i did apply the resolution fix, wich indeed messes with d3d.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1092 Does this cause conflicts with taking screenshots? oh man, steam's screenshot feature doesnt work with this game either, and pressing imprscrn causes the game to freeze. How im i supposed to capture the "nice" moments? ![]() |

I'm not of much help here, I just remembered to have read about this problem in connection with widescreen modifications.
But Google is a pretty good search engine for Subsim. And there are some free sreenshot tools available too, which may be able to work the problem.

Thanks for your answers fellas!
@Fubar2Niner: that GUI looks awesome! but i just cant get it to work. Tried running the game as admin, changing the resolution on the d3d.cfg file... nothing. it just CTDs on start. ![]() @Mittelwaechter: I disabled the d3d fix, and taking screenshots worked as expected. So its confirmed, it is the resolution fix that is causing the problem. Seems i now have to choose, crappy pixelated graphics to take screenshots of, or not taking screenshots of the nice graphics. ![]() |

One screenshot into the clipboard should be possible with PrintScreenKey anyway, but you would have to ALT+TAB out of the game and load the clipboard into a program like Paint (comes with Windows) PAINT.NET or Gimp (both free) - or Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.
(Even one of the old Photoshop versions comes free now) http://getgreenshot.org/ could do the job for you - with d3d active. There are more free screenshot tools on the internet. You just have to try/make sure, they process ingame shots.

I did try with PrintScreenKey, but the game freezes immediatelly and CTDs.
![]() I will try fraps, or one of those apps that allow you to take ingame screenshots. Steam does this actually, but for some reason this feature (and the whole steam sreeen overyay) dont work on SH3. I guess i will run without the resfix untill i find a solution. |
