having trouble installing any mods, need help am new

I have win vista 64 bit on a rig with fx rog board and fx 8350 cpu. have tried to install both lsh3 mods, full and multiple, and other mods and everyone of them have failed. what am I doing wrong!? the multiple download installer fails when I try to choose the folder says I cannot use that path, the full version installer come back with non 7z archive error. plz help, regards deltarat
