Hi All;
In real life, the German Uboat service's short wave 'burst' transmissions, used for locating their uboats were encoded fast burst transmissions that were being read by the British and Americans. In a lot of instances the information was too old to be of much value by the time the Allies decoded it. In others, it was a huge advantage. Milch cows and supply ships in particular suffered terribly because of this issue. I'm wondering if the game handles this situation or not. I always feel that I should send a quick message every few days so Bdu knows where I am. Since the game doesn't include the ability to manually send these'bursts' doesn't necessarily mean that the AI doesn't include them. Alternatively, are the messages I send meant to portray these 'bursts'? I'm wondering if the game assumes that Bdu already knows where I am and the messages I'm sending are superfluous. Does any of this affect gameplay? Cheers, ![]() |
