Question Regarding TDW UI and Speed Calculation

Hey everyone,

I am using TDW's UI system and have a question. My problem is when trying to use the officer command to estimate speed of target. For instance, I activate TDC, identify the target, set range and AoB and then click the icon for lock onto target and then the icon to estimate target speed. It doesn't do anything until I click the icon again and then it gives me a ridiculous reading; sometimes over 100 kts! What am I doing wrong?

It requires a 2nd range reading separated by some time. The ship must move some distance over time to calculate the speed.
