Seriously though,

I'm a 17 years old German and I'm trying to get into Silent Hunter so I thought that it would be a good idea to join this Forum for Advice on this (honestly a bit overwhelming) Game-series and Subsims in General.

I always found Submarines and the Navy very intriguing, in fact I'm considering to join when I'm done with school.

I have never watched the 6-hour cut of "Das Boot" and feel ashamed of it.

So there's the basic information about me, I hope we'll get along good^^

But it couldn't really find one that appealed to me, can you possibly give me some suggestions?

Have you seen the 2.5 hour Director's cut? That's the best to start with.
