NIVIDIA card settings

Hi everyone!

I would like some help. I have the following rig:

CPUCore i7-2655LE 2-Core 2.2GHzOur
GeForce GTX 560M
RAM 8GB

which I think that's good enough but I have to adjust video settings to low, otherwise the game seems and feels kind of slow. Any ideas of why is that happening?

Thanks a lot!

Based on the 560"M" in your GPU are you running the game on a notebook?

Few things you could try:
  • Disable all post-process filters, lighting effects etc.
  • Try to disable the Power Saving mode (if you have it active) from your batteries and see if the game runs better. If I'm ever playing games on my notebook at home, I tend to remove the batteries and just let it run through the charger.
  • If you have dual GPU's (which notebooks tend to have), make sure you're using the NVIDIA card instead of the Integrated Graphics.

*Go to NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Select Preferred Graphics Processor to High Performance NVIDIA Processor.

As for tweaking the card - go to Adjust Image Settings with Preview option -> Select use my preference emphasizing -> drag it down to Performance.

Done all this and still no change? Look for more advanced tweaking in the Internet - still doesn't work? Then most likely that your GPU is fried. Only option if you're in this situation is to switch back to Integrated GPU (which is not that good for gaming, but hey at least you can still play)

Thanks for the advice....

I don't thing my card it's fried. I can perfectly play even "heavier" games such empire total war ....battle stations pacific, company of heroes....at maximum and no problem at all.

Maybe it is because of the "steam engine" perhaps?

Probably the Filters then. I have 770 Ti, i7 4770k if I turn on those filters etc. I can notice a significant drop on fps and the game becomes kind of "sluggish" though maintaining high fps and I'm on Steam too.

Edit: Ohh and maybe the GPU is outdated (this thing always gets me.)

everything is up to date. I'll give it a try, though I thought that my rig could possibly handle SH5 max settings as with the rest of my games...

I also run off a laptop and have come across issues with games in the past. Here's what I have, what settings I use. Not saying they will help because my laptop is actually really well setup, but maybe it'll help.

Programs I use:
Display Drivers Uninstaller
Nvidia Display Drivers (Note* I always download the beta drivers. Most would not as they sometimes are buggy.)
Intel Display Drivers or if you would like to select your devices: Intel Download Center
MSI Afterburner (Only use MSI Afterburner if you have a Nvidia Card)
ToolWiz GameBoost or the full program ToolWiz Care

Now here are my system specs. I'll highlight the more important info.
