"Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it," Morgan tells the New York Times.

CNN confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that the show is on the way out, though the "date of the final program is still to be determined."

I hadn't really considered that. Speaking of which, it's not often a petition to the white house is made to deport an individual. Piers Morgan may have made his own historical footnote in that regard.

Americans have started a petition to kick Piers Morgan out of the country. Meanwhile, a counter-campaign has been launched in Britain to refuse to take him back.

I hope we can meet the Yanks halfway on this, and put the (insert expletive here) in the middle of the Atlantic.
