Steam DW & WIN7 64 bit, how?

Apologies fellow simmers for opening a new thread but noticing my addition to the other I commented in isn't getting any traction. I feel confident there are more than a few simmers that are running DW and the RA mod in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I purchased DW off of Steam so as not to worry about finding the patch everytime and when I select the shortcut, I get 2 error messages. They are:

"Failed to initialize graphics display" and "Context Create Error; -2147467259"

I have the most current video and sound drivers and just need to know how my fellow simmers have gotten their setups to run in Windows 7.

Thanks in advance and again, my humble apologies for a new thread. I just think it may be more of a Steam issue that's going to be tough to overcome.
