Promotion

I note that promotion to Kapitanleutnant comes after attaining 8000 renown points but are there any further promotions? I am guessing not because, in my current career, I have survived into 1944 and have accumulated over 33,000 renown points without further advancement . . .

Have you tried searching the forum back a couple of years? I remember some long discussions around 2010 about this and how Vanilla, GWX and GWX with SH3C worked this, and how to modify.

If I remember right, Frau Kaleun was doing a lot of work on this.

Just go into careers.cfg and careers0.cfg and edit the line players rank=12. Its a cheat but I definitely think you have earned it!

I am going to try using this when I start a new career. Windows 8.1 doesn't take kindly to mods being introduced mid-career.
