LOADING PROBLEM

Hi Guys
Having watched Schaefers videos has given me the encouragement to give real navigation a go. I loaded Sobers mod list order 1100 20082013 except for using TDW TDC 7_4_2 down to Sobers Terrain Fix for OHII. Pc loaded to the end of the red bar and seized. I had to do ctrl alt delete.
Thought I'd try an alternative option and loaded Schaefers mod list with the exception of Krauters Automated Scripts. Pc loaded to the intro sound but no pictures.
Is my problem anything to do with the settings in the Generic Patcher (using 149)?
Is there a difference between copying a mod and extracting a mod?
Is it necessary to play with Uplay off line?
Hope some one can help

Offline is recommended afaik. Sober updated his list a while ago, but that cant be related.

Did you activate any experimental patches ? Tried an unpatched .exe ?

Tried OHII base and patch and removed GP patches made no difference
Still just getting sound but no pictures.
Appreciate any ideas from you guys out there.
Is there something I should have done with TDW 7-4-2 but missed?

Not as far as I know. Could you please select task, export modlist to clipboard, and paste the result here ?

You say it loads, then goes black, audio starts nothing else happens .. have you tried waiting a bit longer ? It takes roughly 4 minutes for the game to present the intro video and menu on my system .. that's about a full minute or 2 after the red bar loaded ?

If you ctrl+alt+del .. and start task manager, is sh5.exe in the proces list still doing something ?

I cannot believe that a full 2 minutes was needed to load just 9 mods. I will enable a few more mods at a time and test and see how it goes. I will then allow the extra time.
It has only taken 30 seconds previously to load my 70 or so mods, so that is why your comment was good. I would never have given it that length of time. Thank you
Could I ask a favour please. Would you be able to send me your gps file of your General Patcher I am using 149 at present.

Try moving the FX mods below the UI ones and see if that helps.

Me not being so stupid. I gave up on Parts Magui earlier in the year for the same reason. Big mods = longer loading time! currently 4 minutes. Previously using real interface and OHIi + 70 mods was still loading quickly with sound straight away. When you look at a blank screen for 2 minutes and no sound I was thinking my system had crashed. I am grateful to plj for helping me out
