Default Steam and SH5

Just purchased sh5 on steam , my first time playing it. Glitchy but very fun game.

I know how great the Mods are for SH and tried to install them but cannot get the mods to work in game. I followed the video tutorial and all, still no luck.

I am wondering if my jzip program messes it up or if we just cant use mods on steam?

I downloaded the JSGME first and copied it to the main sh5 folder but there was no jsgme install program it just zipped it open and extracted it into the folder..i cant figure out how to do it exactly like it is in the tutorial video maybe because of my jzip program with downloads.

Thanks for anyone who can help.

You must patch SH5 to 1.2.0 before mods will work correctly. Check on the opening screen for SH5 to see if v1.2.0 shows in the upper right corner.

Use 7Zip to open and extract mods. You can extract JSGME from the 7Zip file directly to the Ubisoft folder on your C Drive, then the Main SH5 folder. [don't install SH5 in the Program Files folder] Run it and a Mods folder will be made. That is where mods are installed and run with JSGME

Steam version costs much more than the retail version, and from what I hear, the retail one is less glitchy.
