Default [WIP] Postalbyke's TypeII Interior 3

With the latest set of delays from HAHD, I have decided to hash together a Type II complete interior.

Make no mistakes.

It won't be complete. It won't be pretty. But I will release it by January 14th (which is when I go back to University).
This is my promise to you, SH3!

Lemme find a screen shot.

Let's try that.

Can't wait to see the end product. Knowing how your other interior(s) have come along, this will be just as brilliant.

Got the racks in, working on skinning some things, moving and editing, I'll try to post a screeny soonish, gotta see if my other computer can run s3d well enough to test things without running the game lol

Thanks for the support guys, I know we've all heard this one before...

edit: my ancient laptop totally runs s3d the right way. this will cut way back on the time it takes (I hope)

There are the racks etc.

Still gotta work out the kinks in the textures, it's convinced i've only got one texture for the hull, and i've put in three... troubleshooting now
(It was taking forever, loading the game every time to check the texture)

Well done mate.

Took a large piece of work on there but looking forward to seeing the outcome.

postalbyke, I was just wondering: why don't you help the HAHD project-which obviously lacks hands to be released on time- with your skills instead of creating your own small separate mod?

PS: don't hit me bro!

Lol I am not up to par for HAHD. I don't have the software to make shadows, and I rely heavily on copying existing parts or taking existing parts apart to make "new" parts.
Also, this is my winter break, and I'm trying to cram this entire project into the next two weeks.

HAHD (it seems to me) is for people who have both time and skill. They asked for people who had reliable amounts of time (which university has not afforded me lol)

So I use what little spare time I have to create low-quality filler material

Thank you very much for the vote of confidence, though!

Right now I'm cannibalizing Tomi's type II torpedo room mod for its doors :P

Torpedo Room with racks, went with the Vesikko-style covered outboards:

Engine Room looking forward, should have thought to photograph aft crew's berthing instead :P

And a proper Radio Room as per drawings, Still gotta cut up the radio and stuff it in here:

stopping for the night, cleared the wires in the TR, removed pictures and switch boxes (backward) from the ER, moved Radio into the Radio Room, put the Nav in a nook, we'll see you all tamales!

Okay, I was just starting again after some computer troubleshooting, and I ran into a pic of the sonar system on the Vesikko.

Has anyone here actually been to the Vesikko?
Or has better-quality plans than these:

If you'd rather PM me, that's fine, too. I'm just curious about some of the details, and I'm super-curious about the radio/sonar setup.

Okay! Time to quit getting bogged down in details and start doing the rest of the bulk work!!!
