Intercet those invasion forces and interfire with jappanesse landings, plus sink some of their warships.

Do you meanhing incorr adding the link? Ok, I did not think I was doing something incorrect. I am still unaware of the rules of the forum. Sorry if I did somthing incorrect. On the subject of playing historically, well I have been reading some about the invasions and the operations, and there is clear evidence that there there some air reconnosaise, that some of the naval battles were fought because the allies did know and try to intercept the incoming invasions and some of the movements of the IJN units. When i first played RSRD campaign i was not provide with any or so little information of the events going on that it was very dissapointing, and i was going to my patrol zones and following directions for six months without ever encountering anything. Thats why i decidesd that some kind of allid information and intelligence was available, and thus i started to oread the script. But, since that provides too much of information and too accurate, i decided to read historical events playing the role of some kind of allied inteligence. For example, Force Z, and the battle of java sea were thogut a result of allied knowing the incoming invasions and attempting to neutralize them. Also, you might be right, but patroling for months without ever encountering anything is not very fun, and this is a game to enjoy, not to be bored with.

No, you didn't do anything wrong. It's just annoying to see a huge picture repeated in the very next post. It takes up space and time. No rules, just bothersome.

You're absolutely right. Most people play to have fun. I just disagreed with your calling it "historically accurate". Accurate shipping, yes. Accurate play, no. This is why most players have fun racking up ten times the tonnage that any real skipper ever saw.

Ok, i confusse the terms, i was refering to playing RSRD campaign which was the historical shipping more or less.

Pay no attention to the old man, he often forgets to take his meds and gets cranky.

Many people use maps playing RSRD, rather than study the traffic with the ME. Many of us know RSRD so well, it becomes boring, but it can keep you busy for a few years, so enjoy.

Cranky or not, he is right.

Looking at the campaign script, so you can sail ahead and ambush IJN capitol ships, is not the pinnacle of historical realism.

I know, nobody wants to suffer the ravages of boredom, but that is what Time Compression is for.

I try the campaign with the maps information, and you are right, now i am intercepting all the invasions forces and seems to me wierd, there is no suprisse or unexpexted events. It s better to play in the blind and follow coomand, more challenging.
