That's too bad, but he had a good long run. I grew up watching him as Sheriff Andy Taylor.

The Andy Griffith Show and it's later version Mayberry RFD were staples at my house growing up.

Hay Andy. Rest in Peace.

As do I. I had a pet cockatiel at one time that we taught to whistle the theme song from Mayberry RFD. He will be missed.

May his soul find rest in the hand of the Creator.

I remember as a kid watching the The Andy Griffith Show. That and Happy Days (the fonz) were my favorite tv shows. Tv shows back then was good viewing there was no smut like there is today.

My favorite movie of his was "No Time for Sergeants", particularly the part where his character has latrine duty in the barracks and rigs the toilet seats to stand tall in unison for inspection.
