Leitender’s compass is an excellent piece of work – good-looking and very functional. Unfortunately, I play with FM’s New Interior, and Leitenders’s compass doesn’t match the gyrocompass dial faces in the various 3D views. I have made dial faces that do, for both a large slider compass and the small heading dial. Both have a functional center Vernier dial, which makes them easy to read.
But, of course, the gyrocompass dial faces in the 3D views have a Vernier center dial that is not functional. I would like to make them functional, if possible. I have a modest familiarity with modding techniques, but to date, I have only used S3D to adjust parameter values. I don’t know where to start to add a functional capability. I would appreciate advice or instructions from experienced 3D modders. Is whatI want to do feasible? Has it ever been done? (I am not too proud to copy for my own use!) And, if it can be done, how do I go about it? Can anyone help? Thank you. -BW |
