Default Ineptitude! - CM:BN PBME AAR (Crécy vs. Dowly)

I demanded a rematch and so we started another game. This time I will be playing as US (which will be the first time). And, I refuse to lose...

Here's the OOB (congratz if you manage to actually see something...(Greyed out ones are unit's which I don't have)):

And here's my plan (which I didn't do with paint (though the quality is as bad)):

B company will move into a defensive position near the objective area while A company acts as an attacking force. B company's job is to hold their ground and deny the enemy a chance to flank A company. I'm quite sure that Dowly brings his troops fast and hard from the right so I have to figure out a way to counter that effectively and then carry out an aggressive counter-attack.

Turns 1-2 (1:00:00-58:00)

A and B company along with D company (support) and pioneer platoon start to advance. After a minute and a half, enemy movement is spotted in the right side:

Part of me thinks that Dowly is going to set up a defensive positions along those hedgerows. However, I'm going to form into defensive position along the hedgerow which precedes the road, if he decides to attack. After I figure out what's Dowly up to, I have to adapt to the situation and adjust the original plan.

Turn 3 (58:00-57:00)

Engineers blast through a hedgerow.

Anti-tank gun moving into position.

Enemy infantry is spotted in the right flank.

B company spots something very, very bad...

Panther is going to cause some trouble as I have only bazookas and a single 57mm anti-tank gun to counter it. Luckily, hedgerows restricts panther's visibility and I might have a better chance to ambush it with a bazooka team.

My new plan:

I will leave two platoons from A company to defend the right flank in case of an attack. MGs and a mortar will provide support. I suspect that Dowly will have majority of his forces positioned to the right so I decided not to attack there.

B company will make a flanking move from the left along with one A company platoon. Plan is to be as quick as possible so I'll have a chance to catch Dowly off-guard.

Turn 4 (57:00-56:00)

Enemy contact!

A company's platoon, which will eventually support B company's flanking movement, makes contact with the enemy as well.

Dowly advances more boldly in the middle than I expected but enemy positions will be quickly overrun!

Turn 5 (56:00-55:00)

Right flank mg opens fire at spotted enemy infantry.

An enemy MG is spotted in the right. I called mortar fire to harass it.

Other news: B company is preparing to make the flanking move in the left while the supporting A company platoon tries to assault enemy position across the road which is preventing them to support the flanking move.

Turn 6 (55:00-54:00)

Pioneers blast through a hedgerow to open up a way to B company's men to get across that field.

More evilness is spotted.

Luckily I positioned my AT gun to overwatch that road. I just hope it has time to deploy before that Stug enters the road.

To be honest, that Stug is going to be a real problem for me. Dowly has at least two tanks, I've none. As pointed out before, I have barely anything to counter those tanks. Before I can make that planned flanking move, I definitely have to take out that Stug. But the positive thing is that I have probably more troops than Dowly because I don't have tanks when Dowly has two.

Turn 7 (54:00-53:00)

Sniper pesters mortar unit in the right.

B company taking casualties. Had to order B company to fall back due to those two tanks.

Right, that damn ferret has three tanks, at least. Tiger most likely sees my AT gun so I have to engage it. I highly doubt that it will even make a dent. Anyway, priority is to take those tanks out and overwhelm the enemy with my superior manpower.

Looks like your AT gun crew leader is already scouting the left side hedge for a way out of there

Or they haven't even noticed the tiger because they were too busy studying insects in those left side hedges...

Turn 8 (53:00-52:00)

Fighting in every sector. Unfortunately can't tell you anything else... I'm at a loss for words for now as I'm completely stunned by the sheer incompetence of my troops. Luckily someone managed figure out the course of events so we all can see what on earth happened there.

The magnitude of my army's incompetence is mindboggling.

Think it's safe to say I'm doomed if I witness an anti-tank gun crewman playing peekaboo...

Turn 9 (52:00-51:00)

Right, my AT capabilities are even more limited now. Only have AT grenades and bazookas. So basically I've got almost nothing against Dowly's three tanks. Unless he makes a mistake and I get to ambush them behind but I highly doubt it Dowly is going to risk them.

New plan:

I'm going for an all-out attack in the right flank. Leaving only a few men in the left and middle in case of Dowly tries to flank my attacking forces. Defeat is imminent but I have no real chance winning here anymore. Three tanks is just too much.

Turn 10 (51:00-50:00)

Troops moving into new positions. Will launch the attack in the right in few turns.
