Default SH3 Water Reflections Issue, Any Thoughts?

Hi Everyone,

I again beseech the wonderful 'technical support' team here on subsim to help me out with an issue...

My SH3+GWX (that's ALL) was giving the the old "Water Reflection" glitch, where all of the reflections (Sun, Moon, U-Boat, Other Ships) are crammed into an annoying curved 'band' on the left side of the screen.

So I messed around a little the Nvidia settings for SH3, changing the AA settings, filtering, etc. (no real direction here, just changing things to see what works), and that seemed to solve the issue.

THEN, I installed the Widescreen MaGui v3.4, and the reflection 'band' is back. I tried 'giving up' and just downloading Flakmonkey's Intel Graphics fix, which disables some common reflections, but I couldn't find a good place to get it. I kept getting a network error from the only place I could find it: HERE

But the preferable option, would be to just fix this somehow.

Any thoughts??

EDIT: I have an Nvidia GeForce GT330M 1GB VRAM Everything seems to be OK on the standard aspect ratio with big black bars on either side of the screen, but when I apply the widescreen, things go wrong. :\

Hi mate

You could try the settings suggested by Rubini here using nHancer;

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=128517

However this will require an old driver as nHancer stopped support anything much after the 185.xxxx series drivers IIRC. You could try nvidia inspector, as this supports even the latest drivers. I have a couple of inspector profiles I can post if you want to try that route

Best regards.

The widescreen fixes can be troublesome at times. I have very little knowledge on them as i just go with what the game resolution. however you might want to try Rubini's settings for Nhancer. you can find a link in the MEP v4 release thread

Unfortunatly, NHancer doesn't work on my system - my card must be too new. So I'll play around with the setting in Nvidia Inspector and see what I can do.
