Default Syrians invent new inexpensive tank armor

Quote:
Syrian government forces are using detained civilians as human shields, placing them on tanks in the besieged city of Homs to prevent the opposition Free Syrian Army from fighting back, an opposition activist said.

Makes me wonder:
Could we up-armor a Humvee with Korans?

Stole my idea, my idea was better though as it wasn't civilians, and would have ended the problem with housing those fellows at Gitmo. Would have felt a bit sorry for the pig or two that I also strapped to the vehicles.

The Syrians probably ripped the idea off from The Road Warrior.

When I first saw this, I misread it as "Koreans."

Isn't this a breach of some form of international law...

there is no international law, war shouldn't have rules, these people are terrorists, it is them who is hiding amongst civilians,
These "humanshields" know who the terrorists are, they chose to live among them so its their own fault.
These evil terrorists want Syria wiped off the map, thats genocidal that is.

Just thought I would step in and speak for those who usually line up to loudly defend actions which are exactly the same as Assads regime is currently doing

I did that playing as the Soviets in Sudden Strike 2, it's not as effective as you'd think...

I am all for pig blood bombs, and unleashing hordes of (unclean) dogs on them. Pork and shellfish civilian rations.

They use their religion against us, why can't we use it's own strictness against them?

Oh I am sorry, that is politically incorrect. I forgot, hearts and minds.

Yes I am a jerk. So?

Can't someone from the west pretend to have found oil in the area then we can do a 'Libya' on his evil regime?

And leave the country even in a worse state then it is now?
as evil the regime might be the rebels that have rised up aren't angels either but the West tend to ignore their atrocities they commit against people they suspect of supporting the regime like back in Libya.

It could be that a heavy sum of atrocities committed by any side are indeed being reported to the UN, but nothing can be done about it at this point.

While those of us outside the walls wonder why there is no Western intervention, those inside the walls are wondering how to stage an intervention, and just how to get away with it without rattling sabres to the point of a wider conflict.

To add, at the cost of more American lives and money and equipment than any other NATO nation. The US government may have a hard on for this, but the people don't..

I am for letting the savages fight amongst themselves, and not give them any "heathens" or "Kaffirs (what they call a disbeliever in Islam)" to channel their rage on.

There's nothing we can do over there anyway, and they'd probably wind up hating us for it anyway when some idiot somewhere farts at a Qu'ran or something.
