Default [REQ]USS Marlin

Well I've kinda wanted this sub to play with so, does anyone want to make it?

Didnt even know that there was a Mackerel submarine class.

Interesting link, but it doesn't say what the purpose or the design goals for this class was. I gather it was considered a failure, as it was relagated to training duties. I assume it was the only boat of it's class.

There were two of them in the class. It wasn't so much a failure, as it was more of a proof of production ability.

I see. I missed that link. I didn't realize there were changes in production techniques between the Tambor and Gato classes.

Actually, I can kind of see the advantage of having a longer range, updated S-boat. Too bad they didn't see any action.
