Hey guys, Looking for some feedback on this sim. It looks appealing, demo was fun, and I like the idea. Im just wondering if it gets a little...I dont know, boring after a while?

Any feedback or opinions would be appreciated to help me with my decision....

Regards,

EnigMa.

I'm also interested but holding my wallet.

I need to be convinced too.

I don't have it, but it does look very appealing. It looks as though you have the ability to import an infinite number of different types of ships to sail with. And the people who work on it appear to be dedicated and have done marvelous work.

I'd also like to know more myself.:hmm:

This looks pretty cool. I'm an avid Laser sailor during summer months; now maybe I can sail off-season too !

I have the second release of it and love it. Represented my country at sailing for many years but since moving haven't been able to get out on the water since arriving.

It kinda seems that the controls in the demo at least are a bit awkward. I mean, I flooded my ballast tanks in a Ranger yacht (motor-yachts have ballast tanks?) and I sank to the bottom like a sub....

I purchased the game. Im bored, so I figured $25,....why not.

First thing I noticed is the incredible small fleet of boats you get to start with. Sure, theres tons of add ons, but I expect more in the game. then, next thing I did was update to the newest patch. this in turn asked me for a code I dont have, so now I have emailed to tech support, and have to wait for them to send me the code. So i just purchased it, and I cant ehen #$%^#% play it.

Not a good start.

I have this sim its good but if your expecting SH3 or DW material forget it honestly, some of the ships lack detail but there are alot of ships that have alot of detail, for example jahre ciking and ever renown are two excellent ships.

It is a good sim for practicing monovering and what not its not 100% accurate but you can tow ships and what not.

Don't worry it's not a good game either. If you'd have asked nice I would have even emailed you my copy. It lasted exactly one evening on my computer.

Holy crap. How far down did you have to go in order to find this thing? Some names in this thread are a blast from the past.

Anyone else remember how Kaptain used to go sink, crash, or blow up whatever he was flying, driving or sailing? He used to document it in detail as well. Good times.

Wow...I've seen some thread necromancy, but that's approaching epic levels.

Aye, I remember Kapitans journeys that nearly always ended in a catastrophic disaster. In particular the attempt to get the worlds biggest supertanker (at the time) through the English Channel.

I wonder how he's doing these days, haven't seen anything from him in a while.

Ah, good to see he's still around. I wonder if he's been run over by a carrier in SHIII yet...
