Is there a way to attach a "node" in a .dat file to a animated object? What I would like to do is create the water spray, or "Feather" coming off the periscope. I would like the node to move up and down with the scope. I think this can be done using "WaterSurfaceTransition", "FastParticleGenerator" and "VisibleUnderWater", but how do I attach the node to the scope? ( Or is there another way to do this? ) Thanks for any help.

yes. you need to open the file Subsensors.dat in the USSubparts folder/ Library... select the concerning periscope and attach a new child node. attach the necessary controllers to that node. a good example of how this should look like: open a submarines` dat and check the "secondary bubbles" nodes. good luck
