This game has been around log enough to where these questions have probably been addressed before. I have recently installed this simulator on my computer. However, I have observed that the graphics occasionally slow down from 60+ fps to ~20-30 fps. The sound also has a habit of skipping or sounding grainy as if the processing is struggling. Considering my computer is relatively new, I doubt it is my system. Are there any system tweeks that can correct these issues? I doubt that with the age of the game and its engines that there are any new patches around this. I am using DW v. 1.04 with no mods.

DW does not like multiple core processors. Open Windows Task Manager, go to the "Applications" tab, right click on DW and select "Go to Process".
Right click and select "Set Affintiy". When the Processor window comes up select one (which one doesn't matter) for DW to run on. Should solve the issue.

That resolved the sound skipping issue. I altered my Nvidia card settings to deal with the graphics issues. Thanks.
