Default Tanks test infra-red invisibility cloak

Quote:
Tanks could soon get night time invisibility thanks to a cloaking device that masks their infra-red signature.

BAE estimates that the technology could be ready to put into production in two years.

They better fix their Chally-2 fire-control system first! From all I hear and read about it, it is so exotic and different than anyone else's that everybody could immediately identify it as a typically British design.*

Gaining invisibility - at night. Oh those Brits. Everybody else would have chosen invisibility at daylight.

I've come across this before and would ask the same question again...would an invader have any hesitation in shooting anything that moved in a period of extreme tension?

Impressive, I wonder if they'll put this in with the cloak they were testing a year or two ago.

Or with the cloak the Danes brought over to Afghanistan a few years ago.

Hey - the funding for such frivolity and wishful thinking has to come from somewhere!

I think we all know the real reason the military has developed this... all the causalities in Afghanistan have really been caused by a Predator....
