wow! I've never encountered THAT before!

A large convoy not far from me, AND what's more, they are seemingly being shaddowed by a VIIC, which also had an icon appear on my map too!

Anyone else seen or encountered something like this?

My situation arose within GWX on 29/3/1941...somewhere near SW england

Have you found the VIIC in external view yet?

That's a (sort of) regular part of GWX. There have been a great many threads about it, some of them still on the front page of this forum.
