Default Memory Issue

I don't think my system is too out dated, quad core, 6 gigs of ram, 64 bit with an Nvidia 9800 GT+ video card but I find that after playing for a few minutes my mouse pointer starts to slow down and the game becomes somewhat unplayable. I can ALT/TAB out and run a memory manager utility and then jump back in and all is well... for a short time
Does everyone have a stronger machine than mine, or am I doing something wrong in the setup department?

I have less Ram then you. 4gb. I have no problems with running this game.

I use a mod called AntiLag. I found this helped with lag issues.

don't make me laugh...

I beat both of you...

Though I love my computer, it is seriously outdated - 2Gb of DDR 400

And, even though it actually takes a while to load the game with all the mods, it runs very nicely if I don't push on all the graphics

Also, what jwilliams said above: antilag is a very usefull thing. In addition make sure that you are not running something like an Antivirus scan in the background or any other memory intencive applications.

I'm not having any luck finding Antilag here, is it on some other site?
