Default How to change conning tower deck in MO mod.

Yo , BDU just gave me a VIIC . However the one in MO isnt to my liking so i changed the skin back to stock. However the conning tower deck is still not to my liking . In MO it has a wooded deck like seen late war type Vii,s. I want to change it back to stock where it had metal plates with while in them. I checked the sub parts in Goblin editor and it has the wooded deck , how do i fix this? Should i find the texture? of should i change it in goblin somehow? I tried using the GR2 and sim file from the backup and overwrites these so i could get the stock conning tower back but there was no GR2 file in the backup.

1)save your load mod profile
2)unninstall all mods
3) go to c:ubisoft\sh5\data\Textures\TNormal\tex

copy the textures Uboat7C_deck.dds

make a mod
4)load your profile mod that you saved
5)install the mod that you made it

and you will have the deck from stock on the VIIC

I need the conning tower deck corrected, not the deck itself.

Here is some info for skins

The Exterior Topside Deck for the VIIC in the Conning Tower is located in the bottom left corner of these files.

Data\Textures\TNormal\tex\Conning_7C_01.dds
Data\Textures\TNormal\tex\Conning_7C_01_albrecht.d ds

Hope this helps.

I replaced both files from the backup files to the the normal data/texure files. that didnt do anything. Should i do this with goblin or something? but the conning tower deck is stil the same. I did like the wooden deck colour that the VIIB had thought. Know where i can find one for the VIIC?

Well i must confess its the best tutorial you can have to start up some mods your self. And once you get the hang of it the big picture becomes much more clearer. I know the very basics of the goblin editor thanks to TDW and a desire to make some minot changes to his mods.

I think its not conning tower deck texture problem. I just tried someons black deck mod and and the conning tower deck is also coloured black but holds the wooden plank like look insted of the sqaure wholes. and the files only included files for the deck instelf. So i guess i must find the problem in the deck textures.
