I would like to ask the modders if it is actually possible to add some features, or at least improve the precision of the map tools ? No specific features in mind, except maybe an "extend line" one.
I find those tools inacurate and not practical at all for a game where, if you want, you can do everything by drawing on the map ... |

Hi kalijav
I have noticed from some of your posts that you are starting to use Kuikuegs method for tracking targets with four bearings. If you are also using real nav, you may want to try the four bearings tutorial I made for real nav. It also uses Kuikuegs method. If you click on my sig there is a link to Trevally Tutorials. ![]() |

Thank you for your answers.
I am already using the equatools, and while they are certainly a good improvement, I still find that the tools are not very precise, you're never sure that you click on a line, for example. And to expand a line, it's just "gessing" until you get the line and its extension aligned. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but that's how I feel. Maybe with time I'll find some tricks to use them better. ![]() I think that changing those tools is most likely not possible, but since I'm not a modder, I asked, to be sure. ![]() As for the real nav, I am not at the point of using it at all ![]() Last edited by kalijav; 03-04-11 at 02:42 PM. |
