Default [WIP] Sextant and other goodies

Where I'm coming from..
Mods:
- Websters GFO 1.6
- RSRD
- Real Environment
- Plus some other small mods

As you probably know I'm putting together this obscope sextant using the standard Optical view angles in the Cameras.dat file.

On doing this I found that most of the mast heights and ship lengths do not match the scope mags, hence incorrect range readings on the Stadimeter.
How usefull this is I'm not sure but I've gone through all Axis shipping correcting the ship.cfg files and put 'stadimeter' markers in the ship recognition files (Ship_sil.dds). These markers are prominent structures such as funnel/flag/radar-tower..etc that should be easy to see from a distance.

I've made basic Scope/ObsScope/TBT skin files (you can edit these), all with the same gradation markers. Took the Yamato ship as my reference and adjusted the zoom factors to get the correct measurements - checking these against the bearing indicator. With each axis ship took visual measurements and changed the ship.cfg files accordingly (This is all on an *.xls file).

The result of this would be:
What you see in the scopes is what you get, stadimeter ranges will be correct to about at least 5% accuracy. Accuracy factors are consistent across Attack/Obs/Tbt scopes.

The only thing that worries me are all the different screen resolutions available - this means it might require a bit of personal skin editing for your screen. What I've found is that a skin/image height of 768 is an anchor point, and all you have to do is adjust the skin/image/canvas width until all matches up.

I'm doing this to make my SH4 're-entry' more sensible and if you're interested (or can use it) I'll upload it. I'll post more pics tomorrow

In the zip file is the current adjusted info on the Axis ships.

Just noticed that the vertical scales are out by ~20% ...@#$^@W.
Forgot about this.. a quick graphic adjustment will fix this

There you go... all horizontal and vertical scales/gradations A-OK
At 1012 yards

at 4050 yards

Now that that's done.. I'm just going to navigate around the world for a few days...later.
