Default crash issue

I have an older computer. Aside from occasional, temporary game freezes, which I can live with, something new has begun to occur. Every time there is a torpedo impact, my game freezes, and then it CTD. I know TMO is realistic, but this is rediculous! It happens all the time, as I hit everything I aim at, of course.

all i can suggest is you delete all temp files and clear all cookies and whatever else you can do (defrag drive)

the idea is to have the absolute max amount of memory availible so you dont run out and CTD, beyond that the only solution i can see is find a way to remove the environmental effects mod from TMO

or . . . you can show your wife what happens and say the computer is failing and needs to be replaced

Depending on how old, I agree with Web, the torp hit probably places enough extra load on graphics or mem and CTD. That happened some on my older system long ago

Default sounds right

thanks for the suggestions. They sound accurate to me. I am awaiting the return of my computer from the shop and this one is borrowed.

I got some good looks when my fan went out on my card. Took me awhile to figure it out, I was like WTF when the game went this way.

Wow, that's impressive. You sure your card didn't find some digital LSD? xD

Edit: My friend had something similar when he was playing WoW. All the textures got replaced by blown up symbols from his action bar. If anyone here did Serpent Shrine Cavern, imagine the boardwalk being a row of trap icons -o
