Default Having trouble getting into the halloween spirit?

these pics will help http://regretfulmorning.com/2010/09/...for-halloween/ some are not safe for work!

I have always loved scaring the crap out of people. (I have always loved making them laugh too)

for example:

I remember when i was working a 6 day flying trip i traded the whole last day and a half off of my trip with another pilot just so i could come home early and scare my wife out of her mind.

I parked my car across the street, went in the house, put my bags out of view and waited for her to come home from a late evening at work.

when she did, i hid in the bed room closet like the A-hole that i am

she walked into the bedroom and began to change clothes - just like one of those horror movies.

she got about half way undressed as i watched through the door that was cracked about an inch... i slowly opened the door which was in her peripheral vision and as i slowly opened the closet door which by now was obvious to her that there was movement i made this ghastly moaning sound.

she screamed loud enough to justify the police being called to our home (they werent) and i started laughing as she realized what happened.

I dont know why i love that so much

I love a good scare myself to be honest... but it has to be a good - crap your pants - hitchcockian kind of scare.

but at any rate, halloween comes around and this sort of activity sort of peaks in me.

I will go and get 5 or 6 scary movies and just have a horror film marathon.

halloween is great!

cant wait

Creepy

Did not like picture number 10 with the dead toddlers in the nursery. Even if that is a fked up photo just a little bit too much for me.

My first daughter was born the day before Halloween. So no, I don't have any trouble getting into the spirit.

I love hauntings, not so much "jumping" type scared.

You know, the feeling of not knowing what's going to happen next.

Movies nowadays are just about getting you to JUMP, not be creeped out of your mind.

Have you seen the movie adaptation of Rose Red by steven king?

It's a 4 hour movie, and was as creepy as you can get without gore that i can recall.

I've had a few frights while watching scary movies, but the effect almost never lasts after the moment has passed - meaning, it's rare that I have nightmares or lie awake clutching the blankets to my chin wondering what's under the bed or coming down the hallway because of some horror flick I watched.

But the thing that WILL creep me out in a way that sticks, is one of those "true ghost story" type shows. Whether or not they're actually "true" or just packaged that way for more impact is irrelevant... but when something is presented as a "real" everyday person recounting some brush with the scary end of the supernatural spectrum, it can really get to me. Especially when they accompany the story with some dramatic visual reenactment of the event being described by the person who supposedly experienced it.

Years ago one of the cable channels ran several hours of that stuff around Halloween and I watched quite a bit of it. And let me tell you, that night I did spend some time lying awake clutching my banky to my chin while the stuff I'd seen played back in my head.

The one horror flick that I remember giving me an honest-to-goodness nightmare was Ringu. I dreamed that creepy little girl from the movie came out of my TV and was coming down the hall to get me.
