Default Submarine Range Question

Hi.

Is the submarine fuel/range ratio realistic in this game?

Okay but what about speed? Is it realistic?

My VIIB goes at 13 knts when surfaced and at ahead slow (second bar). Isn't it a bit too fast???

This is what i do . On a patrol i go to the navmap and waypoint my likely patrol path . Then i go to what speed i will be cruising on and ask the navigator for fuel usage for this patrol . On one particular patrol i had enough fuel left for approx 500 klms . Not much margin for error that time . I usually like to leave about 5% fuel .
