Nice....especially when one knows that hospitals charge around 800€ for a single CT over here (though the costs are covered by the health insurance).

But funny nonetheless.

The scans are not cheap at all. I had one done on my brain in mid-2001.

Anyway, as I read further into that thread I discovered that the author tests the equipment:

Quote:
I had it down for scheduled maintenance. It's normal to do a quickie scan or 2 to check performance and image quality before it goes back for clinical use. This way you're absolutely sure it's working right before using on actual patients. Normally they just scan air or the table itself. But this was more fun

Anyone want a slightly used radioactive Twinkie?
He can keep the Twinkie.

Why? All that kind of radiation does is kill any tiny living thing it hits. That's one of the left's biggest fallacies: irradiation of food, especially meat, would be the best thing that could be done for the populace. It only kills the germs and bugs, and then it's gone. No trace.

I'll take those twinkies.

Be my guest. It's not the radiation I was concerned about, it's that the cream filling lacks tritium content. I'm not only a Subsim zombie, I am a nuclear Subsim zombie.

Oh your objection wasn't to radiation, but to the twinkie itself. Well, as a longtime consumer of Hostess products, all I can say is...

Uhhh...

Mmmm....

Well.....

What were we talking about?

It doesn't kill them it sterilizes them so if you are eat a tainted product you won't get very sick since the bacteria can't bred and spread in your digestive system.

I just took my Level 2 Food Service Course and that was one of the things taught.
