Server being slow today/ Datacenter outage May 3, 2010

Umm Subsim server responding too slowly today too many times. But perhaps it's just me it's usually the sign that I will be unable to access a certain site after a few weeks that happened with the twcenter.net

And not surprisingly I'm unable to access twcenter.net again. The last time I was unable to access the site for weeks.

And COMODO forum is behaving the same too responding waaay too slowly.

I say it's one way censorship. I've been blocked not necessarily by the site but perhaps somewhere along the node
Too hot to handle. Some people can't handle the truth.


Edit now twcenter is accessible again after I wrote about it here. It's a good game.

twcenter.net. forums.comodo, subsim they are all slow.

With many timed out problem.

Ran tracert and all connections seem to pass through Singtel. I'm suspecting foul play. A systemic cyber warfare to put me under control by denying me access to selected sites especially with my sig and the blog link. No I'm not being paranoid but I know how those lunatic fellows in Singapore operate. Noble is not in their glossary.

Yep those *******s are at it again. I have no doubt about it. They did this to their local dissident too and now they are doing it with me.

Edit2 I had to open a new tab to make this edit after waiting for 3 minutes.
Edit3 after repeated attempt now I'm able to edit this post for the third time. Ran speedtest.net and my speed is just fine. Only when I want to view thread or make a reply or edit a post that it seems to be taking forever.

I'm not experiencing anything like your describing on SS.

Have you tried deleting your cookies and temp int files?

Umm problem now is gone. yea it wasn't subsim itself..something made my connection to my frequently visited forums so slow. Checked my connection and it was at full speed. Opening other pages or sites were fine. Perhaps the fascist 455holes desisted for now.

I've learned to blame and blaming the right kind of people because it's usually true anyway. Bad hair day, fell of the chair, fell of the stairs, slow internet, almost being run over, road rage, or anything just blame them. They are 24/7 available for the blaming game. Blaming 455h0l3s are healthy

Not only Subsim, the datacenter in Houston:

On May 2, 2010, between 12:00am and 7:00am CST, our Network Engineering team will implement a distribution layer in our Hstntx2 network. This is one of many improvements to our network which will provide increased capacity and reliability.

While we've scheduled a seven-hour maintenance window, we anticipate no downtime, however, there will be routing changes as traffic is rebalanced during the turn-up of the new routers.

If you have multiple servers in Hstntx2 and would like additional information about which servers are downstream from this maintenance, you can check your hardware objects in Orbit or contact us directly.

To check the location via Orbit, click "Network" and then "Bandwidth Utilization" (direct link). Servers with "hstntx2" in the location column will be downstream from the maintenance.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates here ... This morning, we experienced two distinct network issues, one around midnight CDT and the other around 8 a.m. CDT. We believe that all customer services have been completely restored, and our network team is investigating the root causes of both issues.

If I get any conclusive information about the cause of the outages, I'll try to post details on The Planet's twitter account (@theplanet), here and in The Planet Forums.

Maybe my ISP or since it has been raining all day (first time for many months) possibly water in the lines, wouldn't surprise me!
