Here we go again! 50K watch, we are now at Captains: 46,613

I won't be bumping this thread as frequently as before, but the prize will be a copy of Silent Hunter 5 (unless you already have it and prefer a Subsim Mug and Clock, your choice).

Same rules as before (see below), need a screen of the 50,000 new member. If you miss it, 50,001 does not count.

Yeah, keep an eye on that line, once it closes in on 39,991....39,992...then 39,999...someone will register as 40,000. If you capture that screen and the registered member proves to be legit--bingo! You win. Just post the screen capture here.

40K is the number of all signups ever. But how many people are currently still active in any of the forums? Just curious. I guess the number of actually active members is 20-30% less.

No, more like 60% less. Logs show about 40% of all members signed in some time in 2009. And on a weekly basis, about 7200~8000 sign in at least once. Still, not too shabby, I imagine it's normal for all forums.
