Default Mediterranean Rampage.

So, i have to sink 50000 Tonnes, and 2 aircraft carriers. Problem is in 2 months i havent seen ANY convoys where im supposed to be, along with the 4 battleships i have to destroy, the Mediterranean is as empty as it can be, starting to refret i chose it instead of the atlantic, but id rather not start all over again in a new campaign.

anyone got any advice?

Seriously though, empty seas are no good

Have you checked any allied harbors? Might be able to find some carriers and whatnot asleep at the dock. Harbor raids can be fun.

Convoys in the Med are very rare, as they were historically.

Can't you go back to an earlier "pre-Med" saved game?

Try lie-ing in wait along the known routes from the various enemy harbours like Alexandria, Malta and Gibraltar.

How about Alexandria, the Suez, have you been down there yet?

I am having the same problem, time to choose another mission I think. I am tired of watching paint dry.

I was having the same problem as you guys.

However today i have found the two aircraft carriers.

So maybe the way i found them can help you.

First of all, i sneaked inside the Gibraltar harbour. Depending on the weather, go submerged or surfaced. Once you're inside the bay for like halfway, make a 180 degree turn and sail out of the harbour again. As soon as i sailed out of the harbour, i came across a (probably) spawned battlegroup, containing two aircraft carriers and some large battle ships. First time however, the convoy shot me to pieces so i had to do a load game. The saved game brought me back inside the bay so again i made the 180 degree turn, and to my surprise, i came across the same convoy, spawning at exactly the same spot. This time i managed to sink both carriers and sneaked away from the escorts.

The fact that, even after a load game, the carriers spawn again, makes me think that this could happen to you guys too.

Hope this works for you and good luck!

GO TO GIBRALTAR
There's plenty of merchants and the aircraft carriers pass by pretty often but watch out, the randomly disappear so save right after you spot it!!!
