Default Re-supply Update

Has anyone got to actually resupply at sea yet?

Is this an issue which will be resolved by the next patch??

I'm playing the usa eastern coasts campaing and the re-supply works for me. I usually go there at 10kts, use my torpedos and then ask for a re-supply. Then i fire all torps again and come back home...

Missions after 1942, like Drumbeat and Black May for example have resupply options, since that's when the milkcows were active, not before.

how does the resupply work? Is it like a port where you click on an icon?

I presume you see the U-tanker? any special animation?

I haven't seen it but I bet it would be the same as re-fit at a friendly base

You must meet the tanker or u-boat somewhere and get the refit screen when you get near. It's a normal instant refit, no 5 hours on the surface with hoses and dinghys.

This is good to know. Always curious whether this was bug behavior or working as intended.
Wasn't there a resupply vessel near greenland in GWX? Not that I would base my history lessons on a game but GWX taught me that there was one up there as early as I think 40 or 41? Correntes I think it was. Anyways...like I said. Good to know.
Cheers.

Yes the was a supply vessel there in GWX. In RL it was originally to be used a refuelling ship for Bismark's Atlantic sortie. But when she was sunk, the vessel was used by U-boats. Not sure of her name (maybe the tanker Belchen.) and dates that she was in GWX of the top of my head. As im not on my home computer at the moment. But no doubt someone will be long soon that will have that info.
