How to pass 1 month in game time?

Seriously, it is harder then you think. I tried to pass my time sinking more merchants, wiping out anything significant in Scapa. Maybe a day or two passes each round.
Almost to the point where I will just park up and max out TC and come back to the game in an hour (real time) or so.
Damn them and their making me wait until March for the last mission!

Why not just sail out to the middle of nowhere and hit max time compression?
